PRIME Caseworker

About the role

The PRIME Caseworker provides strengths‑based, client‑centered case management to vulnerable refugee households under the IRC’s PRIME program. You will help remove barriers to self‑sufficiency, promote mobility, and empower clients from arrival through up to five years after settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the ICM team to identify additional healthcare needs for vulnerable clients.
• Attend internal team meetings and partner meetings as assigned.
• Assist clients in navigating healthcare systems, public benefits, educational institutions, and other public service providers, including scheduling and attending appointments.
• Develop and distribute self‑sufficiency guides tailored to each client’s goals.
• Help clients select public and community resources, schedule initial appointments, and ensure they feel comfortable contacting providers.
• Conduct regular outreach to healthcare providers and social service agencies to address service barriers and identify resources.

Required profile

• Solutions‑driven, passionate change‑maker.
• Experience providing case management to vulnerable refugee populations, including survivors of domestic and gender‑based violence, LGBTQ individuals, older refugees, and those with physical or mental health challenges.
• Ability to develop individualized service plans and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
