Physical Infrastructure Engineer – On‑Premise

About the role

Waabi is seeking a hands‑on Physical Infrastructure Engineer to build and support the computers and network systems that power its autonomous vehicle fleet. The role is based near Dallas, Texas and works closely with vehicle fleet operations and hardware teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with hardware and software teams on vehicle compute and network implementation.
• Assist with diagnostics of vehicle compute, network, and sensors.
• Develop and maintain high‑volume data pipelines for vehicle data.
• Build tools, systems, and infrastructure to support vehicle development.
• Work with IT on facility infrastructure as needed.
• Participate in an on‑call program to support vehicle operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong understanding of computer and network hardware.
• Experience with on‑premise servers and storage systems.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
