Patient Care Technician PRN – TOSH Inpatient

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PRN) to support the TOSH Inpatient unit. This temporary, on‑site position provides flexible, as‑needed staffing to deliver high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical observations.
• Assist with basic procedures such: wound care, specimen collection, and equipment setup.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care area.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Patient Care Technician certification preferred.
• Prior experience in an inpatient or acute‑care setting.
• Ability to work a PRN schedule, including varied shifts.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
