Maintenance Technician – The Meadows at Burnside Farms

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of The Meadows at Burnside Farms – a 308‑unit garden‑style community – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing defects in accordance with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm with a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills to diagnose and resolve building issues.
• Attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of repairs.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and manage supply inventory.
