Maintenance Technician – Gable House

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Gable House property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role supports both resident requests and preventative upkeep in a fast‑paced lease‑up environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a lease‑up or residential property setting.
• Availability to work weekends and a standard Monday‑Friday schedule.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, company policies, and local code requirements.
