Maintenance Technician – 2nd/3rd Shift

About the role

Join Cascades' Schenectady facility as a Maintenance Technician, working the 2nd or 3rd shift to keep production equipment operating efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Review, assign, and proactively complete work orders.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer performance specifications.
• Service manufacturing equipment, boilers, air compressors, and electric lift trucks.
• Perform maintenance tasks involving machining, electrical, hydraulics, steam, pneumatics, and welding.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements with supervisors.
• Share improvement ideas with the department manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED; additional technical training is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and train mechanics in safe electrical practices.
• Own tools and ability to pass a maintenance skills assessment.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and related electronics is an asset.

• Base salary $29.71‑$35.44 per hour (experience based)
