Locum Primary Care Nurse Practitioner – $75-$90/hr

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide primary‑care services on a locum basis in Elkhart, Texas. The assignment runs for 13 weeks starting July 1, 2026, with a standard 5‑day, 8‑hour shift schedule (07:00‑19:00) and includes both scheduled and no‑call coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic diseases.
• Provide patient education on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Perform procedures permitted by Texas state regulations and NP specialty.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly.

Required profile

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on an NP specialty.
• Active, unencumbered APRN license in Texas.
• National NP certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., family practice, adult‑gerontology, pediatrics).
• At least one year of clinical experience in a relevant primary‑care setting.
