About the role
The Nashua Surgery Center is seeking a PRN Pre‑Op Licensed Practical Nurse to support patient intake and preparation. This on‑site, as‑needed position provides critical nursing care before surgical procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct telephone triage to assess patient needs.
- Administer medications, including injections, and document all orders accurately.
- Identify and address patient and family education needs.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations in accordance with protocol.
- Maintain thorough documentation in the patient’s medical record.
- Facilitate patient flow to ensure efficient operation of the physician’s office.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Active state LPN license.
- One year of experience in a health‑care setting preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
