Leasing Professional – Waterwalk at Shelter Cove

About the role

This position coordinates the community’s marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to meet occupancy, revenue, and resident‑retention goals. The Leasing Professional handles all leasing activities, ensures resident satisfaction throughout the lease term, and drives lease renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to resolve any issues, and ensure units are ready for residents.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Use property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage resident data.
• Prepare and deliver lease renewal letters, meet with renewing residents, and ensure timely signing of renewal documents.

Required profile

• All state and local licenses/certifications required for leasing roles.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software such as OneSite and Yardi.
• Experience using online marketing tools including Craigslist, Facebook, and email platforms.
