Maintenance Supervisor for Residential Community

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the interior and exterior of the community, including grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time position supports resident satisfaction and prepares vacant units for new move‑ins.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders, diagnose issues, and perform repairs in accordance with safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members and external contractors to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, and assist the Community Manager with budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance and lead safety meetings, keeping MSDS sheets current and adhering to OSHA regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑2 years of experience in property or building maintenance, including unit turns, appliance repair, painting, drywall, and basic plumbing.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a golf cart on the property.
