Leasing Professional – Residential Real Estate

About the role

The Leasing Professional coordinates marketing, leasing and renewal activities for the community to meet occupancy, revenue and resident‑retention goals. You will guide prospects through tours, applications and move‑in, while ensuring resident satisfaction throughout the lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, schedule maintenance, and maintain show‑unit standards.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, and manage resident data.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, phone or thank‑you notes to secure leases and renewals.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner inquiries, resolving issues or routing them to appropriate staff.

Required profile

• All state and local licensing or certification requirements must be met.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Experience using internet marketing tools including Craigslist, Facebook and email campaigns.
