Leasing Professional – Residential Property Management

About the role

The Leasing Professional is responsible for coordinating marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals for a residential community.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all sales and leasing activities, including greeting prospects, conducting tours, processing applications, credit screening, and preparing lease packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, ensure readiness, and coordinate any maintenance needs.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans to sustain occupancy, following company policies on concessions and specials.
• Design and run resident referral, employer outreach, and online marketing campaigns using Craigslist, Facebook and email.
• Use property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, prospect data and lease documentation.
• Maintain show units and marketing corridors to company standards, coordinating with maintenance.
• Follow up with prospects and residents to ensure satisfaction and secure lease renewals.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner inquiries, documenting and escalating issues as needed.

Required profile

• Valid state driver’s license; ability to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• All required state and local licensing for leasing activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management platforms such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Experience using online marketing tools including Craigslist, Facebook and email campaigns.
