About the role
Mapbox is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join its Washington, D.C. office. The role supports a fast‑growing employee base, ensuring that corporate technology is reliable, secure, and easy to use across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Manage inbound support tickets, incidents, and chat requests, meeting defined service level agreements.
- Provide in‑person and remote assistance to employees, guiding them on corporate tools and best practices.
- Facilitate new‑hire onboarding and oversee the full employee IT lifecycle.
- Maintain and improve the office LAN, Wi‑Fi, audio‑visual, conferencing, and computing infrastructure.
- Identify ticket trends, develop automation, and implement process improvements to reduce risk.
- Secure configuration and access management for production endpoints in AWS, GitHub, Google Cloud, G Suite, Okta, and related systems.
- Participate in weekly sprints, IT projects, and documentation of solutions and knowledge base articles.
Required profile
- Strong customer‑service mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Experience supporting end‑users in a corporate environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a distributed IT team across multiple time zones.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
