IT Intern – Campus Operations

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking an unpaid IT Intern to join the Campus Operations team at its Northwest Arkansas Regional Campus. This internship offers a hands‑on learning experience, allowing the intern to observe and support daily IT operations while fulfilling academic requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow the on‑site IT Support Manager and observe daily support activities.
• Assist in setting up and documenting academic internship programs for community schools.
• Participate in learning sessions covering IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, and user support.
• Complete assigned observation and learning tasks within the internship timeframe.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an active IT or related technology program.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of the internship.
• Ability to comply with UAMS vaccination policy or provide an approved exemption.
