About the role

The Hostperson at Hale Kai will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering warm, personalized service in a luxury, fast‑paced oceanfront restaurant. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage seating flow, and ensure every guest feels the aloha spirit from the moment they arrive.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously, providing detailed information about the menu and venue.
• Maintain a clean, organized host station and dining area, ensuring optimal ambiance.
• Coordinate seating arrangements, manage waitlists, and communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff.
• Monitor dining traffic, anticipate peak periods, and adjust host operations accordingly.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor issues to uphold a high standard of service.
