Freight Broker – Logistics Coordination

About the role

Celtic Marine & Logistics is looking for a motivated Freight Broker to coordinate domestic transportation shipments. You will act as the liaison between customers and carriers, ensuring smooth, on‑time deliveries while delivering excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate freight shipments between customers and carriers.
• Negotiate competitive rates with trucking companies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers.
• Track and monitor shipments to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Resolve transportation issues and service disruptions promptly.
• Communicate shipment updates to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and load documentation.
• Source new carrier partners and transportation solutions.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation (preferred).
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
