About the role

Join Logistec as a Checker and support vessel and warehouse operations in a fast‑paced marine terminal. You will help track, coordinate and move cargo, ensuring accurate records and smooth flow throughout the terminal.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general labour duties related to marine terminal and warehouse activities.
• Tally and record cargo loaded onto and discharged from vessels.
• Verify cargo counts, markings and condition during loading, unloading and transfers.
• Maintain accurate cargo records using tally sheets or electronic documentation.
• Assist with cargo handling, sorting, staging, securing and movement within the terminal and warehouse.
• Coordinate with supervisors, equipment operators, vessel crews, truck drivers and warehouse personnel.
• Inspect work areas and cargo for safety hazards or damage and report issues promptly.
• Follow company safety procedures, port regulations and operational guidelines.
• Operate handheld scanners, radios and basic terminal systems as required.
• Work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25‑50 lb occasionally.
