Shipping/Receiving Associate – Meat Processing

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Shipping/Receiving Associate to support daily operations at our meat processing facility. The role involves moving products safely, preparing shipments, and ensuring accurate inventory flow across the cold floor, freezer, and loading docks.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to retrieve and deliver items to production areas.
• Use a pallet jack to collect, weigh, and label product combos from the production line.
• Fold and prepare cardboard boxes for storage or shipment.
• Store, organize, and maintain palletized products in the freezer.
• Pull orders from the freezer, stage them for shipment, apply export stamps, verify USDA requirements, and wrap pallets as needed.
• Load pallets or boxes onto trailers according to driver requests and product type.
• Verify shipment paperwork and communicate completion to the Lead.
• Receive incoming supplies, store them correctly, and complete associated paperwork.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to safety procedures, including wheel chock usage.

Required profile

• Previous experience in shipping/receiving or food processing is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail for labeling, paperwork, and product verification.
• Willingness to work additional hours or handle a heavier workload when needed.
