Floating Maintenance Technician – Multiple Washington Locations

About the role

Greystar is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support several of its Washington properties. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. You will rotate among multiple sites, responding to resident requests and performing preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance in accordance with safety and code standards.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and re‑ordering as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning of exterior buildings, parking areas, breezeways and pool zones, and handle basic painting, trash removal and debris cleanup.
• Assist with vendor management, inspect contractor work, and support cost‑saving initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts.

Required profile

• Proficient in safe use of hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with painting, entry‑level carpentry, appliance repair and basic plumbing.
• Professional demeanor, strong communication skills and ability to read and write effectively.
• Basic proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
