FCC Production Operator

About the role

Join BASF’s Performance Chemicals team in Attapulgus, GA as an FCC Production Operator. You will help safely produce FCC catalyst by operating and monitoring industrial chemical processing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor FCC catalyst production equipment using process orders, procedures, and notes.
• Perform operator rounds, safety and performance inspections, and identify corrective actions.
• Execute equipment-specific Lockout/Tagout and safe work permitting procedures.
• Start up and shut down plants, manipulate valves, start/stop pumps, and clean spray bars.
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance, collect process samples, and conduct laboratory testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Use HMI controls and computer systems to monitor processes, respond to alarms, and access work instructions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Industry experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate, maintain, and adjust equipment.
• Capability to follow oral and written instructions and use a process computer controller.
