Associate, Repair & Maintenance Engineering

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Associate in Repair & Maintenance Engineering to support its facilities and equipment in Houston, Texas. You will apply technical knowledge to maintain and improve the reliability of production assets while ensuring compliance with GxP regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability.
• Coordinate maintenance engineering work and review mechanical and electrical specifications.
• Assess new equipment designs for reliability, ease of maintenance, and parts availability.
• Liaise with production staff to schedule repairs, safety inspections, and equipment installations.
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and maintain accurate documentation to meet regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance or engineering.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work the D shift (Friday‑Sunday 4 pm‑4 am and alternate Thursdays).
• On‑site work in Houston, TX with up to 10% travel.
