Entry-Level Construction Laborer – New Orleans

About the role

This entry‑level position supports marine and civil construction projects in New Orleans. You will perform basic physical labor, site preparation, material handling, cleaning, and assist skilled trades such as carpenters, equipment operators, and welders on both land‑based and over‑water sites.

Key responsibilities

• Handle power and manual tools, including sawing, nailing, and operating motorized equipment.
• Install and remove construction materials at heights, using fall‑protection measures.
• Assist skilled tradespeople and perform general site cleanup.
• Perform other duties as assigned in a safety‑sensitive environment.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lb regularly.
• Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Alert, good balance, and physical strength.
• Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Required skills

• Use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
• Minimum 6 months experience in formwork or concrete construction labor preferred.
