Electrical Engineer – Plant Facilities (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

About the role

Bosch Group is expanding its semiconductor business in Roseville, California, and is seeking an Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in plant facilities. The role focuses on commissioning, project execution, and operational readiness for medium‑voltage electrical systems in a high‑demand semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup activities for facility upgrades, expansions, and new tool installations.
• Develop commissioning plans, validation protocols, and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure timely energization.
• Author and review electrical project scopes, switching/LOTO schedules, and manage change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
• Provide electrical engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring designs meet NEC, SEMI standards, and power‑quality requirements.
• Validate voltage, current, grounding, and harmonic performance for new tool hook‑ups.
• Apply load‑shedding and restoration strategies to minimize risk during planned and unplanned outages.
• Champion electrical safety, especially for medium‑voltage (up to 12 kV) operations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with medium‑voltage electrical systems up to 12 kV.
• Proven track record of safely executing complex electrical projects in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, SEMI standards, and corporate specifications.
• Ability to develop and maintain SOPs, maintenance procedures, and emergency response plans.
