Automotive Service Manager

About the role

The Automotive Service Manager leads the service department of Mills Auto Group, ensuring high customer satisfaction, efficient operations, and profitable performance. This full‑time, on‑site position reports directly to senior leadership and combines hands‑on supervision with strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise service technicians and support staff.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through timely, quality service.
• Analyze department profitability, control expenses, and develop revenue‑growth strategies.
• Review and approve service estimates and invoices for accuracy.
• Oversee parts inventory, ordering, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Train, mentor, and motivate employees to meet individual and team goals.
• Handle customer escalations and resolve service‑related issues.
• Stay current on industry trends to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing an automotive service department.
• Proven track record of driving profitability.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Required skills

• Automotive repair and maintenance expertise.
• Familiarity with dealership software and systems.
