Director of Product – ClickHouse Cloud Platform

About the role
As Director of Product Management you will define the multi‑year strategy for the ClickHouse Cloud platform and lead the direction of core cloud capabilities. Working closely with engineering leadership you will ensure the service scales to meet customer needs while delivering a compelling product experience.
Key responsibilities
- Define the multi‑year product strategy and roadmap covering replication, distributed query execution, fault tolerance, storage tiering, schema evolution and disaster recovery.
- Partner with Engineering leadership to prioritize investments across the database engine, storage layer and query execution framework.
- Coach and mentor Product Managers across adjacent platform areas, driving prioritization and resolving cross‑team dependencies.
- Collaborate with Design, Sales, Marketing, Support and Customer Success to launch new features and improve customer experience.
- Balance long‑term platform investments with near‑term customer commitments and business priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, providing visibility into strategy, risks and trade‑offs.
- Represent ClickHouse with strategic customers, partners and at industry events, translating needs into product direction.
Required profile
- 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in cloud infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, developer platforms or database products.
- Proven ability to influence product direction across multiple engineering teams and drive large cross‑functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud‑native architectures and modern data infrastructure.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and technical levels, partnering with senior engineering leaders on architectural decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engineers, executives, customers and external audiences.
Required skills
- SQL and query optimization, indexing, partitioning, database performance tuning.
- Hands‑on experience with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift.
- Knowledge of data lakes, ETL pipelines, CDC, orchestration platforms and cloud‑native data architectures.
- Understanding of schema management, query planning, storage engines, replication, consistency models, backup and recovery.
- Experience building replication, disaster recovery, storage systems or backup/restore workflows.
