Director of Logistics

About the role

The Director of Logistics will lead end‑to‑end project delivery for DCSL warehouse locations across the United States. Based in Memphis, this field‑forward position requires up to 50% travel to oversee project execution, manage crews, and serve as the primary liaison for clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own projects from quoting through final closeout, defining scope, timelines, staffing, procurement, and budgets.
• Travel to warehouse sites nationwide to provide onsite leadership, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑hand‑off meetings with sales and operations to align expectations and capture lessons learned.
• Review technical documents, answer scope and scheduling questions, and monitor costs against milestones.
• Maintain detailed project schedules, manage change orders, and facilitate weekly status meetings.
• Supervise project support staff, verify payroll, and keep organized documentation.
• Collaborate with sales, safety professionals, and field technicians on equipment assembly, training, and incident investigations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, machinery moving, construction, or construction safety.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑phase projects across functional areas.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
