Supply Technician (Ammunition Management)

About the role

The Supply Technician is responsible for managing ammunition stock records, forecasting requirements, and ensuring accurate inventory control. This position supports mission readiness by providing timely ammunition reports and participating in regular inventories.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain stock record accounting for all ammunition items.
• Receive and process ammunition forecasts to determine future requirements.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly ammunition reports for leadership.
• Conduct quarterly inventories to verify condition, quantity, and location of stocked ammunition.
• Process unit requests for issue, live turn‑in, and residue turn‑in of ammunition.
• Track receipts, issues, transfers, expenditures, and current inventory data.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
• Eligibility under the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment (no domestic‑violence convictions).
• Willingness to work a seven‑day tour of duty with occasional evenings, holidays, and mandatory overtime.
• One year of specialized experience processing ammunition transactions, resolving inventory discrepancies, maintaining supply files, and determining resupply requirements.

Required skills

• Experience with ammunition inventory management and transaction processing.
• Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies.
• Familiarity with military supply procedures and reporting.
