Supply Chain Manager – Packaging & Logistics

About the role

Tesla is looking for a motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead packaging and logistics optimization. You will work across logistics, warehousing, production and procurement to drive cost‑effective material flow and support just‑in‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement effective packaging solutions.
• Identify root‑cause supply‑chain issues, resolve escalations and own logistics optimization projects.
• Analyze BOM packaging data and Transportation Management System (TMS) data to uncover efficiency opportunities.
• Ensure packaging readiness for logistics modes such as JIT, milk‑runs and intermodal conversions.
• Define and execute packaging testing procedures for FTL‑to‑IMDL route conversions.
• Partner with Tier 1 suppliers and internal packaging teams to redesign packaging for intermodal use.
• Develop, track and report KPIs related to packaging and logistics performance.
• Test pack‑out configurations to maximize cube utilization and minimize shipping damage.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain or logistics.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities; capable of handling multiple high‑priority tasks.
• Self‑driven with a broad knowledge of warehousing and supply‑chain best practices.
• Excellent project and system management skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).

Required skills

• Transportation Management System (TMS) proficiency.
