Deep Foundations Superintendent

About the role

As a Deep Foundations Superintendent you will lead field operations for Kiewit Foundations Co., overseeing the execution of large‑scale geotechnical projects across the United States. You will be responsible for safety, quality, schedule, cost performance and the development of your crew while working on a variety of specialty foundation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior superintendents and foremen.
• Review and approve labor rates for foremen, journeymen and laborers.
• Manage contract administration, including subcontractor meetings and client communications.
• Maintain client relations and attend regular problem‑resolution meetings.
• Oversee monthly job cost updates, quarterly cash‑flow projections and change‑order negotiations.
• Develop and implement project completion and turnover plans.
• Maintain daily field diary and ensure timely performance evaluations.
• Recommend organizational, policy or staffing changes as needed.
• Approve promotions up to General Foreman level.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience planning, scheduling and managing deep foundation or ground‑improvement projects.
• Strong technical background in specialty foundations and geotechnical construction.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proven ability to manage cost, schedule and safety on large construction sites.
