Customer Service Representative – Full-Time, 1st Shift

About the role

The Customer Service Representative will work the 1st shift, Monday‑Friday 9:00 AM‑5:30 PM at R+L Carriers’ Colonial Heights, VA Service Center. The role focuses on freight tracking, maintaining positive customer relationships, and supporting internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily freight tracing with customers and provide status updates.
• Assist other terminals in resolving freight‑related issues and coordinate shipments.
• Apply customer‑retention techniques to ensure customers feel valued and heard.
• Resolve issues promptly while promoting company goals and objectives.

Required profile

• Strong communication and telephone skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and handle stressful situations.
• General office and customer‑service experience.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products.
• Typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
