About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking full‑time forklift operators for its Colonial Heights, VA service center on the 3rd shift (2:00 AM – 10:30 AM). You will safely move freight in and out of enclosed trailers and operate a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
Key responsibilities
- Move all types of freight safely in and out of trailers up to 53 feet long.
- Operate a forklift on a roofed dock that is not climate‑controlled.
- Read manifests and interact with computer displays to track shipments.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Ability to read manifests and use a computer display.
