Dock Supervisor – Full‑Time Night Shift

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Dock Supervisor to lead dock and dispatch operations at its Colonial Heights service center. This full‑time, 3rd‑shift position runs Monday‑Friday from 1:00 AM to 10:00 AM and offers a competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key responsibilities

• Manage driver and freight‑handler teams, coordinating schedules and daily dock activities.
• Ensure safety compliance and adherence to quality freight‑handling procedures.
• Dispatch LTL loads in a timely manner and oversee overall dock operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager.

Required profile

• Proven basic leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and logistical problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of the local area and surrounding regions.
• Prior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• General computer literacy.
