Construction Inspector – Providence, RI

About the role

The Construction Inspector will support CDR Maguire’s projects in the Greater Providence area during the 2026 construction season. Working closely with contractors, engineers and superintendents, you will ensure that work complies with plans, specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and inspect daily transportation construction activities throughout the Greater Providence region.
• Perform work in accordance with contract plans and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records documenting project activities.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the Resident Engineer.
• Work primarily daytime hours with occasional night assignments as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Five or more years of construction inspection experience (preferred).
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work on‑site in the Providence, RI area.

Required skills

• OSHA 10 certification.
