About the role
The Construction Field Inspector will support NYCHA’s Asset & Capital Management Division by performing construction inspection work on modernization projects across New York City public housing developments.
Key responsibilities
- Review and inspect contractors' work and contract administration for compliance with plans, specifications, prevailing wage requirements, site safety, insurance requirements, and required permits and approvals.
- Review and recommend actions on the general contractor’s proposed schedule to ensure appropriate sequencing of construction activities and to expedite progress.
- Monitor contractors and vendors carrying out new construction, rehabilitation, repairs, alterations, and structural maintenance work.
Required profile
- Report to the Construction Field Supervisor and work in coordination with project teams.
- Perform construction inspection work on NYCHA projects.
- Monitor contractors and vendors on construction sites.
