Water/Wastewater Project Manager

About the role

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering safe drinking water, wastewater treatment, and flood control solutions. You will manage projects from initiation through close‑out, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate single‑ or multi‑discipline teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage multiple small‑to‑medium projects concurrently, overseeing design, production, and delivery.
• Maintain client relationships, participate in marketing, contractual, and design meetings.
• Track project finances, adjust staffing, and ensure work stays within budget and schedule.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and conduct periodic project reviews with leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 7 years of related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using MS Project (Access experience is a plus).
• PMP certification (preferred).
