Civil Project Manager II – Lead Medium to High Complexity Projects

About the role

SSR is seeking a Civil Project Manager II to own medium‑to‑high complexity civil engineering projects from kickoff through close‑out. You will act as the primary client liaison, coordinate multi‑discipline teams, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm project scope and requirements with clients and stakeholders.
• Develop proposals, financial plans, and preliminary man‑hour budgets.
• Ensure contracts are fully executed and align team actions with contractual obligations.
• Lead project kick‑offs, establish schedules, set milestones, and monitor progress.
• Maintain profit variance, track budgets, fee burn, and earned value.
• Facilitate meetings with owners, architects, contractors, and document decisions.
• Identify, negotiate, and administer fees for additional services and change orders.
• Implement proactive QA/QC plans and coordinate timely reviews and submittals.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing medium to high complexity civil projects.
• Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to develop and control project budgets and schedules.
• Experience coordinating multi‑discipline teams and subconsultants.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on delivering quality outcomes.
