Concrete Carpenter/Finisher

About the role

The Tepa Companies are looking for a Concrete Carpenter/Finisher to join their construction teams in Colorado Springs. This hands‑on position involves building, finishing, and maintaining concrete structures in a variety of weather conditions, with on‑the‑job training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Assist foremen with layout, set elevations, and install formwork for footings, foundations, ADA‑compliant walkways, flatwork and structural concrete.
• Place and tie structural reinforcement, prepare sites for concrete placement, and operate vibratory screeds and consolidation tools.
• Operate hand and power tools such as demo saws, pneumatic jack hammers, core drills, rebar benders/cutters, electric saws, and skid‑steer loaders.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints, perform surveying and measuring tasks, and help erect and brace scaffolding.
• Load, transport, and unload formwork materials, tools, and supplies; maintain a clean and safe work site.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to perform labor‑intensive tasks in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn the trade through on‑the‑job training.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a crew.

Required skills

• Demo saws, pneumatic jack hammers, heavy‑duty core drills.
• Rebar bender/cutter, electric saws, drills.
• Surveying and measuring equipment.
• Skid‑steer loaders, vibratory roller screed, vibratory truss screed, manual wet screed.
• Vibratory concrete consolidation tools, walk‑behind trowels.
• Blueprint reading and scaffolding erection.
