About the role

The Chief of the Data Analysis Unit will lead the unit’s statistical and methodological work within the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive of Pension Administration, this senior position is based in New York and shapes fund‑wide data reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and direct the unit’s work programme on statistical analysis and methodology, providing technical and managerial supervision.
• Initiate, plan and oversee preparation of fund‑wide data reports, publications and communications.
• Provide technical advisory support to senior executives and manage data analysis activities across the Fund.
• Supervise development of new or improved data analysis methods and models for projects.
• Prepare progress reports and technical documentation for presentation to relevant bodies and committees.
• Advise senior management on data trends, potential impacts of changes and recommend actions.
• Lead, organise and evaluate staff, discussing individual work programmes and performance.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in leading data analysis or statistical units.
• Proven ability to advise senior management on data trends and strategic implications.
• Experience preparing comprehensive data reports and technical documentation for high‑level audiences.
• Strong managerial skills, including staff planning, performance evaluation and team leadership.
