Electrical AI Developer

About the role

ETAP is looking for an Electrical AI Developer to join its hybrid team in Irvine, CA. You will help shape AI‑driven tools that empower engineers to design, analyze, and operate electrical power systems more efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI‑based features for ETAP’s electrical engineering software.
• Collaborate with power‑system engineers to translate domain knowledge into machine‑learning models and automation tools.
• Implement algorithms for system modeling, network optimization, fault analysis, planning, energy management and grid stability.
• Build and integrate large‑language‑model assistants to improve user experience and reduce manual workload.
• Curate training datasets, validate models, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of AI outputs.
• Optimize computational performance and scalability across ETAP product suites.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous‑improvement processes.

Required profile

• Strong background in electrical power systems or related engineering discipline.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams with software developers, data scientists, and UI specialists.
• Ability to translate complex engineering workflows into actionable AI solutions.
