About the role
At Alcon, the Cataract Equipment Manager drives sales of the full portfolio of anterior cataract surgery products, including capital equipment, disposables and accessories. The role is part of the Sales & Sales Support function and works directly with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and other eye‑care institutions to ensure customers receive the right solutions and support.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets for assigned territory by promoting and selling Alcon’s cataract surgery products.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, high‑volume surgeons and purchasing decision‑makers.
- Lead targeting and selling efforts for Centurion, Revalia, NGenuity and Unity platforms.
- Generate leads, prepare sales proposals, conduct product demonstrations and provide post‑sale equipment in‑services.
- Conduct events, meetings and competitive market analysis to protect and grow Alcon’s market share.
- Provide timely reports and documentation of sales activities and customer interactions.
Required profile
- Proven experience in surgical ophthalmic or medical‑device sales.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships with surgeons, hospital staff and purchasing groups.
- Strong analytical skills for market analysis and reporting.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of anterior cataract surgery equipment (Centurion, Revalia, NGenuity, Unity).
- Product demonstration and technical support capabilities.
