About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager of the Paseo high‑rise property in Austin. The role focuses on the financial and operational aspects of the community, ensuring accurate accounting, timely rent collection, and smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
- Process invoices, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and coordinate with vendors, contractors and owners.
- Operate the property‑management system (Yardi/OneSite), entering transactions and maintaining data integrity.
- Prepare monthly close‑out reports, financial statements and other accounting documentation.
- Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to protect revenue.
- Assist with eviction procedures, court representation and resident move‑out processing, including deposit and fee calculations.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors and internal teams.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the Community Manager.
Required skills
- Proficiency with property‑management software, specifically Yardi and OneSite.
- Experience in rent collection, invoice processing and bank reconciliations.
