Groundskeeper / Porter (Crosstown Community)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of the Crosstown community in Austin. You will ensure common areas, amenities, and the overall curb appeal meet Greystar’s high standards while supporting the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the property throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings, and keep all common areas tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist.
• Change locks according to policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA and other required training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl in confined spaces.
• Capability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.
