Advisor II – Project Management (US Only)

About the role

The Advisor II, Project Management supports a portfolio of projects for Catholic Relief Services, ensuring alignment with agency principles, donor requirements, and established standards. Working closely with regional, country, and project teams, the role drives compliant, timely, and high‑quality program delivery for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with finance, legal, risk, compliance, supply chain, HR, and program quality teams to ensure award compliance and smooth implementation.
• Develop and apply agency‑wide strategies, standards, tools, and best practices for project and award management.
• Manage communications with donors and stakeholders, coordinating inputs, updates, and responses.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance to regional and country teams on project and award processes, using existing tools and templates.
• Strengthen staff and partner capacity through training, mentoring, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Prepare and consolidate reports, deliverables, and documentation to meet funder requirements.
• Lead innovative solutions to implementation challenges and support proposal development, due‑diligence, and award start‑up activities.
• Assist in award negotiation processes, preparing documentation and coordinating with relevant teams.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams in project or award management.
• Strong understanding of donor requirements, compliance standards, and humanitarian program delivery.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with donors, regional offices, and country teams.
• Ability to provide practical guidance, mentor staff, and develop capacity‑building initiatives.
