Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

The Golden State Warriors are seeking an organized and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage billing, cash receipt processing, and collections. This full‑time position plays a critical role in the accounting department, supporting accurate revenue recognition for a leading sports and entertainment organization.

Key responsibilities

• Process and post high‑volume daily cash receipts (ACH, wire, credit cards, checks, lockbox) to customer accounts.
• Reconcile daily bank deposits against AR ledgers, resolving discrepancies and unapplied cash.
• Collaborate with ticket sales, corporate partnerships, suites, event operations, and GL teams to identify unidentified payments.
• Analyze and resolve payment variances, chargebacks, and customer inquiries using historical transaction data.
• Assist with month‑end close activities, including journal entries, AR aging reviews, and audit schedule preparation.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and SOP documentation for cash application.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, or corporate accounting; experience in sports or venue management is a plus.
• Experience with financial audits or SOX‑compliant environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Enterprise ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, QUERY, pivot tables, array formulas).
• Familiarity with ticketing platforms (e.g., Ticketmaster) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
