Film Production Finance Executive

About the role

The Film Production Finance Executive will oversee all financial aspects of film projects from development through post‑production. Working closely with Production, Post, Creative, Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams, the role ensures compliance with A24 finance procedures and smooth onboarding of accountants onto internal systems.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance contact for assigned productions, coordinating information sharing across internal teams.
• Maintain and administer production finance infrastructure, including location‑specific requirements, payment schedules, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Liaise with partner finance and accounting teams on reporting, invoicing, cash flow, and tax credit matters.
• Manage accounting staffing throughout development, prep, production, and post‑production phases.
• Oversee on‑set accounting duties such as accounts payable, payroll, and journal entries for the full project lifecycle.
• Provide guidance to on‑set accountants on onboarding, processes, and documentation.
• Track and process studio‑based development and delivery payments to talent and partners.
• Supervise accounting wrap‑up, delivery processes, and various audits including tax credits and union audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production finance or a production accounting role.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with creative and corporate teams.
• Strong understanding of film finance procedures, tax credits, and audit requirements.
