Fixed Asset Accountant

About the role

As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will support and maintain Sephora’s fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accuracy across capital expenditures, asset tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting. You will work within a collaborative finance team and partner cross‑functionally to keep the business running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Support CapEx fixed asset allocation and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and upload journal entries related to fixed assets and capital expenditures.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers, project allocations, and asset location information.
• Support monthly close activities and deliver fixed asset accounting deliverables on time.
• Partner with Purchasing and Business Planning & Analysis to update PO master data, manage approval workflows, and address financial inquiries.
• Help maintain budgets and internal orders for capital expenditure requests.
• Clear aged goods receipt/invoice records and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain various fixed asset trackers and provide ad‑hoc reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with finance and business partners to improve processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Leverage SAP/S4 Hana and related systems for efficient fixed asset management and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• 3–4 years of accounting experience with solid understanding of US GAAP; IFRS knowledge a plus.
• At least 2 years of fixed asset accounting experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
