Account Manager - Construction

About the role

Border States is seeking an Account Manager to lead and grow relationships with construction‑focused customers in Alexandria, LA. You will promote the company’s products and services, identify new sales opportunities, and act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Meet or exceed established sales goals and daily outreach targets.
• Develop existing accounts and acquire new medium‑size construction customers.
• Identify cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities aligned with company capabilities.
• Coordinate sales strategies with preferred vendors and internal support resources.
• Provide timely customer support, including pricing, expediting, returns, and technical inquiries.
• Input cost‑savings documentation and contribute to pricing and margin strategies.
• Advise sales management on marketing plan implementation and customer feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales or account management, preferably within construction or related industries.
• Strong understanding of customer business objectives and ability to translate them into solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and meet performance metrics.
