Access Services Manager

About the role

The Access Services Manager leads the delivery of access‑related services within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This position oversees daily operations, ensures compliance with institutional policies, and drives improvements to support patients, staff, and students.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all access services functions, including scheduling, eligibility verification, and patient entry processes.
• Supervise a team of access staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
• Develop and monitor operational metrics to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and high‑quality service.
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT departments to integrate workflows and resolve access‑related issues.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and university regulations governing access and patient privacy.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation for the Access Services department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health administration, business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing operations within a healthcare or academic medical setting.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
