Zero Trust Enterprise Architect

About the role

Leidos' Digital Modernization sector is looking for an experienced, self-directed Zero Trust Architect to support a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAFRICOM, located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. The position requires travel OCONUS. Candidates must hold a current DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of a Zero Trust security architecture, including least privilege access, micro-segmentation and continuous monitoring of network traffic.
• Implement strong authentication and authorization, role-based access controls (RBAC) and identity and access management (IAM) solutions, and audit user access.
• Deploy network segmentation, secure communication channels (encryption and VPN) and work with network engineers on secure device configuration.
• Design endpoint protection, device posture assessment, application control and device authentication aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Implement continuous monitoring, develop incident response plans, and run regular security assessments and penetration testing.

Required profile

• Current Top Secret/SCI clearance and DOD 8570 IAT 2 compliance.
• Experience overseeing the management and supervision of at least 10 personnel.
• Proven experience as a Zero Trust Architect or in a similar cybersecurity role.
• Education: BA/BS plus 8 years of recent specialized experience, or AA/AS plus 10 years, or 12 years of recent specialized experience or 14 years of recent specialized experience.
• TESA eligibility.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols and best practices.
• Identity and access management, network security and endpoint protection.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards and regulations.
• Certifications such as CISSP or CZTA are a plus.
