AI Engineer (Temporary Contract) - Claude Readiness Program

About the role

Applaudo is hiring an AI Engineer for its Claude Readiness Program, a 2-month contractor position with possible extension. You will act as the certified specialist who works alongside a client's engineering teams as they adopt the Claude apps, Claude Code, Claude Cowork and the Claude API. The role suits someone with real production experience building on Anthropic's Claude tools who enjoys helping other engineers use them.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run four technical deep-dive sessions on Claude, Claude Code, the Claude API, MCP and agents, based on the client's real work.
• Answer engineers' technical questions in the shared Q&A channel within the same or next business day.
• Host weekly office hours for live walkthroughs and hands-on help.
• Score the hands-on readiness assessment against the rubric and feed the results into each participant's remediation plan.
• Review the learning paths and assessment so they match the tasks engineers actually perform.
• Document answers, code snippets and session recordings in the shared knowledge base.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven hands-on experience building production systems with the Claude API and Claude Code, beyond demos or PoCs.
• Ability to read and debug production-style code in at least one enterprise stack such as Java or React.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock or Google Cloud Vertex AI.
• Advanced English fluency, needed for live technical sessions and supporting US-based teams.
• Nice to have: current Anthropic Claude certification, AWS or Google Cloud certification, prompt design and evaluation experience, and experience loading content into an LMS with SCORM or xAPI knowledge.

Required skills

• MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agent patterns, including tools and subagents.
• Debugging production code in Java or React.
• Strong written and asynchronous communication, with dependable turnaround in a live support channel.
